      What to Bring:

      If your First Name starts with the letter A to J, Bring a Side-Dish.

      First Name K to Q, Bring a Salad.

      First Name R to Z, Bring a Dessert.

      We will have some beer and wine available but it would be a good idea for you to also bring plenty of water and other beverages.

      CONTEST FOR BEST DISH, BEST SALAD, BEST DESSERT! PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED! BRING SOFTBALL EQUIPMENT, FRISBEES, FOOTBALLS, BEANBAGS, VOLLEYBALLS, ETC. BRING PICNIC BLANKETS, CHAIRS.

      The Tug of War Tournament will start at 3:00 pm. There will be 4 teams set up:

      Team 1: THE FIRE ELEMENT: (ARIES March 21-April 19, LEO July 23-August 22, SAGITTARIUS November 22-December 21) Fire is bright, strong, and takes control. It wants to be in charge. You never can miss fire. Never subtle, the most confident of all the signs.

      Team 2: THE ELEMENT AIR: (GEMINI, May 21-June 21, LIBRA, September 23-October 22, AQUARIUS, January 20-February 18)Here you will find the talkers and communicators of the zodiac. If you need something written or spoken, ask an air sign.

      Team 3: THE ELEMENT WATER: (CANCER, June 22-July 22, SCORPIO, OCTOBER 23-November 21, PISCES February 19-March 20) Like the water in a glass, water signs conform to the elements around them. Feelings, emotions, and deep personal conversations are what motivates and stimulates the water signs.

      Team 4: THE ELEMENT EARTH: (TAURUS, April 20-May 20, VIRGO, August 23-September 22, CAPRICORN December 22-January 19) The most stable, consistent and sometimes rigid of all the signs.

      After the Tug of War contest other classic Picnic games and races will be played, 3 legged race, sack race, etc. Volleyball will be played through out the day. DJ Party & Dance Music. If you bring a dog you must keep him/her on a leach at all times and you can't bring him/her into the pavilion where the food is! There will be a designated area for people with dogs.

      Location of Park: On West side of University, 1/2 mi. north of Arapahoe Blvd. Cross streets are University/Josephine. Limited parking is available on University Blvd., North of Arapahoe, approximately 1/2 mi. If this parking lot is full, follow directions to parking lot at Ice Arena. Directions/Parking: Parking behind Ice Arena is best. From University Blvd., go West 1/2 mi. on Arapahoe. At Vine St. (traffic lite), make a right. Drive 1/2 mi. Ice Arena will be on right side. Pull into parking lot. Walk East. You will go over a walking bridge (Highline Canal). You will cross over another bridge. You will then see an open field. Shelter A is at Southeast corner of park, next to tennis courts.
